Quick answer
No single brand is best at everything, so choose by what you need. Anker SOLIX is the best all-round value and makes our overall top pick, the C1000 Gen 2 (1,024Wh, 2,000W, a 49-minute recharge). EcoFlow has the widest range and the best expandability, up to 10kWh on the Delta 3 Max Plus. Bluetti leads on solar input and battery longevity, with the Elite 100 V2 taking 1,000W of solar and the Elite 200 V2 rated to 6,000-plus cycles. Jackery is the simplest range to choose from and the lightest at every size. Match the brand to the job rather than looking for one winner.
Which power station brand is best: EcoFlow, Anker, Bluetti or Jackery?
No single brand is best at everything, so the honest answer is to pick by what you actually need rather than looking for one overall winner.
For most UK buyers the best all-round value is Anker SOLIX, and its C1000 Gen 2 is our overall top pick across every brand we cover: 1,024Wh, 2,000W of output and a 49-minute full mains recharge, the fastest of any current model in our pool, for £499 at our September 2026 check.
Beyond that, the picture splits cleanly by priority:
- Best range and features: EcoFlow. The widest line-up, the fastest-moving engineering and the biggest expansion ceiling of the four, up to 10kWh on the Delta 3 Max Plus.
- Best solar and big-battery longevity: Bluetti. The Elite 100 V2 takes 1,000W of solar and the Elite 200 V2 and Elite 300 are rated to 6,000-plus charge cycles, the highest figures we cover.
- Best for simplicity: Jackery. A four-model range that is the easiest in the market to choose from, and the lightest units at every size.
The rest of this page breaks that down brand by brand, then names a specific model for each job.
The four brands in one line each
EcoFlow moves faster than any other brand here, and the engineering backs the pace: three current models recharge fully from the mains in an hour flat, X-Boost stretches modest inverters to run kettles and hair dryers, and the range expands to 10kWh at the top. The catch is a product line that changes so quickly the naming has stopped making sense, so two of its Amazon listings are not the models they appear to be.
Anker SOLIX builds its whole case on charging speed, and the numbers hold up: the C1000 Gen 2's 49-minute mains recharge is the fastest of any model we cover, and the C2000 Gen 2's 58 minutes is the fastest published full recharge of any 2kWh unit here. The value sits squarely at the C1000 Gen 2, which is also our overall pick.
Bluetti sells longevity and quiet. The Elite 200 V2 and Elite 300 are rated to 6,000-plus charge cycles before dropping to 80% capacity, the highest in our pool, and the Elite 100 V2's 1,000W solar input refills it in a claimed 70 minutes, the fastest solar recharge under £500 we cover. These are machines you buy to still be using in the 2030s.
Jackery is the biggest name in the market, and the v2 line earns much of the reputation: the lightest units in their class at every size, a simple four-model range and a 20ms UPS mode on every model. Two things need saying plainly, though. Nothing in the v2 line is expandable, and the "full in 1 hour" charging claims are app-enabled emergency modes; standard mains charging runs 1.7 to 2 hours.
Best power station brand for each job
Best overall value: Anker SOLIX
The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 is our best overall power station across all the brands we cover, not just Anker's range. It holds 1,024Wh, pushes 2,000W across four UK three-pin sockets, recharges fully from the mains in 49 minutes via its app-enabled HyperFlash mode, and carries a 4,000-cycle battery rating with under 20dB of noise below 200W of load, at £499 at our September 2026 check.
The one thing it does not do is grow: unlike the original C1000, the Gen 2 takes no expansion battery, so buy it as the size it is. For most people, at this price, that is not a problem.
Buy the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 on AmazonBest for features and expandability: EcoFlow
If you want the deepest range and the most room to grow, EcoFlow is the brand. Its flagship Delta 3 Max Plus holds 2,048Wh, delivers 3,000W of output, expands to 10kWh via extra batteries, takes 1,000W of solar and carries a 12.6V/30A Anderson output for van installs. That expansion ceiling is the biggest of the four brands here. There is no standalone review of the Max Plus yet, so the full write-up sits in the EcoFlow brand guide.
If you want expandability at the 1kWh size with a review to read first, the older EcoFlow Delta 2 is the only 1,024Wh EcoFlow you can expand, taking a Delta 2 or Delta Max extra battery up to around 3kWh, and it keeps the 12V car socket the newer Delta 3 Classic dropped.
One warning that applies across the range: EcoFlow's Amazon listings bake bundles into the model names. The "River 3 Max" and "River 3 Max Plus" are the River 3 Plus sold with a stacking battery, not separate models, and the "River 3 Max Plus (Wireless)" is a 286Wh unit with a magnetic power bank, not an 858Wh station. Read the listing twice.
Best for solar and off-grid: Bluetti
If panels are how you plan to run the thing, Bluetti wins on input. The Elite 100 V2 pairs a 1,000W solar input and a built-in MPPT controller on a £469 unit, filling its 1,024Wh battery in a claimed 70 minutes of good light, the fastest solar recharge under £500 we cover. Output is 1,800W and the battery is rated to 4,000-plus cycles.
For off-grid bases that need to last, Bluetti also owns the longevity crown: the Elite 200 V2 (2,073.6Wh, 2,600W) and Elite 300 (3,014.4Wh) are rated to 6,000-plus charge cycles to 80% capacity, the best in our pool, and the Elite 300's dedicated 12V/30A DC output is the feature campervans running a compressor fridge actually want. Both sit in the Bluetti brand guide; there is no standalone review of either yet.
Buy the Bluetti Elite 100 V2 on AmazonBest for simplicity: Jackery
If you would rather not decode a range, Jackery is the easiest brand to buy. Four models, one naming rule (the number is roughly the watt-hours), the lightest units in their class at every size and a 20ms UPS mode on every one. The Explorer 1000 v2 was Amazon UK's best seller in its category at our check: 1,070Wh and 1,500W in a 10.8kg box that Jackery claims as the smallest and lightest 1kWh LiFePO4 station, at £499.
The trade-off is honesty about two things. Nothing in the v2 line is expandable, so the capacity you buy is the capacity you keep. And the standard mains recharge is 1.7 hours, not the headline hour, which is an app-enabled emergency mode. If a simple, light, single-box station is what you want, none of that need put you off.
Best budget entry: EcoFlow River 3 Plus
The cleverest small power station of the four brands is the EcoFlow River 3 Plus at £219 at our September 2026 check. It holds 286Wh, pushes 600W of AC output (1,200W with X-Boost), weighs 4.7kg, recharges from the mains in an hour and carries IP54 splash protection with a 1m drop rating. Its party trick is wire-free stacking: an EB300 battery takes it to 572Wh and an EB600 to the full 858Wh, so it is the only budget unit here that grows without cables.
Anker, Bluetti and Jackery all sell capable sub-£200 entry units too (the C300 DC, Elite 30 V2 and Explorer 240 v2), and you can compare them all in the full buying guide.
EcoFlow vs Anker vs Bluetti vs Jackery: strengths and weaknesses
| Brand | Best at | Strengths | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| EcoFlow | Range and expandability | Widest line-up; fastest-moving engineering; X-Boost stretches modest inverters; expansion to 10kWh on the Delta 3 Max Plus; River 3 Plus stacks wire-free with IP54 and a drop rating | Confusing model names (the "River 3 Max" listings are bundles, not new models); the Delta 3 Classic has no 12V output at all |
| Anker SOLIX | All-round value | Fastest charging we cover (C1000 Gen 2, 49 minutes); our overall top pick on value; strong 4,000-cycle battery ratings; very quiet under light load | The C1000 Gen 2 is not expandable (the original C1000 was); expansion now starts at the C2000 Gen 2 |
| Bluetti | Solar and longevity | Best solar input under £500 (Elite 100 V2, 1,000W); longest cycle life we cover (Elite 200 V2 and Elite 300, 6,000-plus cycles); very quiet; Elite 300 has a 12V/30A van output | Only the Apex 300 expands; the Apex 300's base unit has no USB or 12V ports without an accessory |
| Jackery | Simplicity | Simplest range to choose from; lightest units in their class at every size; 20ms UPS on every model; the Explorer 1000 v2 is an Amazon best seller | Nothing in the v2 line is expandable; the "1-hour" charging is an app emergency mode, not the standard 1.7 to 2 hours |
