Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 vs EcoFlow Delta 3 Max: Which to Buy? (2026)

Quick answer

At £999 on Amazon at our September 2026 check, the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 and EcoFlow Delta 3 Max carry the same 2,048Wh LiFePO4 battery and the same 2,400W rated AC output, so the price is a tie and everything around the battery is the decider. Buy the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 for the stronger all-round package: it is lighter at 18.9kg, expandable to 4,096Wh with a BP2000 battery, takes up to 800W of solar, publishes a 58-minute full mains recharge and runs two 140W USB-C ports. Buy the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max, also £999, if you want its 3,200W X-Boost mode for briefly running higher-wattage appliances, a higher 4,800W surge and a quieter 25dB rating inside EcoFlow's app. Note the Delta 3 Max is not expandable; that is the Delta 3 Max Plus's job.

C2000 Gen 2 or Delta 3 Max: which should you buy?

At £999 on Amazon at our September 2026 check, the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 and EcoFlow Delta 3 Max carry the same 2,048Wh LiFePO4 battery and the same 2,400W rated AC output, so the price is a tie and everything around the battery is the decider. This is the rare comparison where price does not do any of the work. Same watt-hours, same rated output, same money. The question is not which battery is bigger, it is which chassis around that identical battery fits how you actually use 2kWh: whether you will ever want to grow it, how fast you need it back to full, and whether you have one high-wattage appliance that needs a boost mode to run at all.

What the C2000 Gen 2 and Delta 3 Max share

Start with what does not separate them, because it is most of the spec sheet. Both hold 2,048Wh of LiFePO4, the long-life battery chemistry. Both put out 2,400W of rated AC power through four sockets. Both carry a 100W or higher USB-C port, a 12V car socket and a 12ms-or-faster UPS mode (both quote a 10ms switchover). Both are app-controlled. And at our September 2026 check, both sit at £999 on Amazon UK.

So a straight "which has more power" question has no answer here. They are the same size battery with the same headline output. Everything below is about the parts of the design that differ, and there are more of those than the matched headline suggests.

What actually separates them

Five real differences, in the order most buyers will care about.

  • Expansion. The Anker C2000 Gen 2 has a dedicated expansion port and takes one BP2000 Gen 2 battery to reach 4,096Wh. The EcoFlow Delta 3 Max does not expand at all; extra-battery support is the Delta 3 Max Plus's feature, not this model's. If there is any chance you will want more than 2kWh later, this is the whole decision.
  • Weight and size. The Anker is 18.9kg and 45.9 x 25.0 x 25.7cm. The EcoFlow is 20.3kg and a longer, taller 49.4 x 23.9 x 30.5cm. The Anker is the smaller, lighter box to lift into a car boot or a van by 1.4kg.
  • Mains charging. Anker publishes a clean 100% recharge in 58 minutes (80% in 45 minutes) from a 2,300W input. EcoFlow does not publish a labelled 0 to 100% figure for the Delta 3 Max; its spec table lists "2,300W (68 min)" without stating the percentage range, so there is no like-for-like full-charge number to hold against Anker's 58 minutes.
  • Solar. The Anker accepts up to 800W of solar; the EcoFlow caps at 500W (the 1,000W solar ceiling belongs to the Max Plus). Neither manufacturer publishes a full solar recharge time, so this is an input-ceiling comparison, not a stopwatch one, but the Anker's ceiling is higher.
  • USB-C. The Anker runs two 140W USB-C ports; the EcoFlow's top USB-C port is 100W, alongside two 30W ports. For charging a modern laptop at full speed, the Anker has the stronger USB-C bench.

Now the two places the EcoFlow answers back.

  • Boost and surge. The Delta 3 Max has a 3,200W X-Boost mode that lets it run higher-wattage resistive appliances by reducing voltage, above its 2,400W rated ceiling, plus a higher 4,800W momentary surge against the Anker's 4,000W. If you have one appliance rated between 2,400W and 3,200W that you need to power occasionally, X-Boost is a genuine reason to pick the EcoFlow.
  • Noise. EcoFlow rates the Delta 3 Max at 25dB, Anker rates the C2000 Gen 2 at 30dB. The reference loads differ (EcoFlow quotes 25dB at 600W, Anker quotes 30dB under a 1,000W load), so this is not a laboratory like-for-like, but on paper the EcoFlow is the quieter-rated unit.

One more for the long-term buyer: Anker publishes 4,000 charge cycles to 80% capacity for the C2000 Gen 2. EcoFlow does not publish a numeric cycle count for the Delta 3 Max, so there is no matched durability figure to compare.

Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 and EcoFlow Delta 3 Max specs and buying options

Both units verified against the manufacturers' UK pages and Amazon UK listings, with every buying configuration priced at our September 2026 check. The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 first, our pick of the two:

The expansion story in the current range: 2,048Wh and 2,400W of output, doubling to 4,096Wh with a single BP2000 Gen 2 battery through its dedicated rear port. It keeps the brand's charging pace with a 58-minute full mains recharge, takes 800W of solar and runs at a quoted 30dB under a 1,000W load. £999 at our check, and at 18.9kg it's the biggest Anker you'd still call luggable.

2kWh buyers who'll never expand

2,048Wh and 2,400W of output in a 20.3kg box, with a quiet 25dB rating at 600W and nine ports including a 12V car socket. The problem is its own sibling: the Max Plus delivers 3,000W, expands to 10kWh, takes double the solar and charges USB-C at 140W, and on EcoFlow's own UK store it listed £100 cheaper than this at our check. On Amazon the Max was £999 against £1,099 for the Plus. Buy the Max only if you're certain you'll never expand, never pass 2,400W and never run more than 500W of solar.

A note on the EcoFlow line-up worth knowing before you buy: the better-specced Delta 3 Max Plus (3,000W output, expandable, 1,000W solar, 140W USB-C) exists directly above the Delta 3 Max. On EcoFlow's own UK site the plain Max has at times been priced above the Plus, so check both before committing to the base Max.

What can 2,048Wh actually run?

The sums are identical for both units, because the battery is. The numbers below are calculated estimates, not lab tests: rated capacity multiplied by an 85% usable conversion efficiency, divided by each device's battery capacity, rounded down. On 2,048Wh that gives roughly 1,740Wh of usable energy:

  • Phone (iPhone 17, 14.4Wh): around 120 full recharges
  • Drone battery (DJI Mini 4 Pro, 19Wh): around 91 recharges
  • Tablet (iPad 11-inch, 28.9Wh): around 60 recharges
  • Laptop (MacBook Air 13-inch, 53.8Wh): around 32 recharges

On the mains side, both run a 2,400W load, which covers the vast majority of household and campsite appliances: a fridge, a microwave, power tools, a coffee machine, a heated blanket. A steady 200W draw runs for roughly eight and a half hours on either. The difference is only at the very top of the range: the EcoFlow's 3,200W X-Boost lets it briefly drive a resistive appliance the Anker's 2,400W ceiling would refuse, and the Anker's expansion port lets you double the runtime the EcoFlow is fixed at.

Who buys which?

The C2000 Gen 2 buyer wants the strongest all-rounder for the money and keeps options open. They value the lighter, smaller box, the 58-minute mains top-up, the 800W solar ceiling and two full-fat 140W USB-C ports, and above all the expansion port: buy 2kWh now, add a BP2000 to reach 4kWh when the van build or the power cuts justify it. Campers, van-lifers, home-backup buyers who might scale up, and anyone charging laptops over USB-C: C2000 Gen 2.

The Delta 3 Max buyer has a specific reason to choose EcoFlow. Either they have one appliance rated above 2,400W that only X-Boost's 3,200W mode will run, they want the higher 4,800W surge headroom, they want the quieter 25dB rating, or they are already in EcoFlow's app ecosystem and want to keep everything under one roof. They accept that this model does not expand and weighs 1.4kg more. Buyers with a single high-wattage tool or appliance, and committed EcoFlow owners: Delta 3 Max.

If you are torn and neither of those EcoFlow-specific reasons applies to you, buy the C2000 Gen 2. At the same price and the same battery it gives you more of everything that scales, and an upgrade path the Delta 3 Max simply does not have.

Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 vs EcoFlow Delta 3 Max FAQs

What is the difference between the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 and the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max?
Both are 2,048Wh LiFePO4 stations with 2,400W of rated AC output at £999 on Amazon at our September 2026 check, so the battery and the price are a tie. The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 is lighter at 18.9kg, expandable to 4,096Wh with a BP2000 battery, takes up to 800W of solar, publishes a 58-minute full mains recharge and has two 140W USB-C ports. The EcoFlow Delta 3 Max is not expandable, weighs 20.3kg, has a 3,200W X-Boost mode and a higher 4,800W surge, and is rated quieter at 25dB.
Is the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 or the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max better value?
At our September 2026 check both cost £999 on Amazon UK with the same 2,048Wh battery, so neither is cheaper for the capacity. The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 delivers more around that battery at the same price: it is lighter, expandable to 4,096Wh, charges to full from the mains in a published 58 minutes and accepts 800W of solar against the EcoFlow's 500W. The EcoFlow Delta 3 Max earns its place only if you specifically need its 3,200W X-Boost mode, its higher surge or its quieter rating.
Is the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max expandable?
No. The EcoFlow Delta 3 Max has no extra-battery port and stays at 2,048Wh for the unit's life; expansion is the Delta 3 Max Plus's feature, not this model's. The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2, by contrast, takes one BP2000 Gen 2 expansion battery through a dedicated port to reach 4,096Wh. If you might want to grow past 2kWh later, buy the Anker C2000 Gen 2, or step up to the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max Plus.
How fast does the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 charge from the mains?
Anker publishes a full 0 to 100% recharge in 58 minutes, and 80% in 45 minutes, from a 2,300W input. EcoFlow does not publish a labelled 0 to 100% figure for the Delta 3 Max: its spec table lists '2,300W (68 min)' without stating the percentage range, so there is no like-for-like full-charge time to compare directly against Anker's 58 minutes.
Which is lighter, the C2000 Gen 2 or the Delta 3 Max?
The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 is lighter, at 18.9kg against the EcoFlow Delta 3 Max's 20.3kg, and it is the smaller box too, at 45.9 x 25.0 x 25.7cm versus the EcoFlow's 49.4 x 23.9 x 30.5cm. Both are two-hand carry units at this capacity, but the Anker is the easier 2kWh station to lift into a car boot or a van by 1.4kg.
Can the Delta 3 Max run a higher-wattage appliance than the C2000 Gen 2?
Yes, briefly. The EcoFlow Delta 3 Max has a 3,200W X-Boost mode that runs higher-wattage resistive appliances by reducing voltage, above its 2,400W rated output, plus a 4,800W momentary surge. The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 is rated at the same 2,400W but has a lower 4,000W surge and no equivalent sustained boost mode. If you have one appliance rated between 2,400W and 3,200W, the Delta 3 Max is the one that will run it.

Both stations sit at the 2kWh mark of a wide range. The Anker SOLIX brand guide and the EcoFlow brand guide compare each against the rest of its family, and there is a full Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 guide if you want the single-unit detail.
